These terms govern your use of Ascent, a private, self-hosted planner and phone-discipline application for Android, maintained by Aditri Connected Solutions ("we", "us"). By installing or using Ascent, you agree to them.
Ascent is provided free of charge for personal use. It is not a commercial hosted service. Each installation runs against a server operated by the person who set it up, and that operator — not us — is responsible for that server, its availability, and the data held on it.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the activity on your account. If you sign in with Google, you are also bound by Google's own terms for that account.
Do not use Ascent to break the law, to gain unauthorised access to any system, to interfere with its operation for others, or to monitor another person's device without their knowledge and without the legal right to do so. Ascent includes parental controls intended for a parent or guardian to use on a device they are responsible for; using them to monitor an adult without consent is not permitted.
Your tasks, plans and other content remain yours. We claim no ownership over them. How data is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Ascent can write backups to your own Google Drive. This is a convenience, not a guarantee. You remain responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We do not warrant that a backup will be complete, current, or recoverable.
Ascent is offered as-is. There is no service level, no uptime commitment and no obligation to provide support, updates or continued operation. Features may change or be removed. The app may be unavailable when the server it is configured against is unavailable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ascent is provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will block or limit any particular application. Blocking and limiting features apply friction; they are not a guarantee that an app cannot be reached.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, time or opportunity, arising from the use of or inability to use Ascent — including where a limit failed to apply, a reminder failed to fire, or data was lost or not restored.
You may stop using Ascent at any time by uninstalling it and, if you wish, deleting your data as described in the privacy policy. The operator of an installation may close an account on that installation at any time.
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last did. Continuing to use Ascent after a change means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
